Setting Waypoints
Waypoints record GPS latitude and longitude data at the current Traxall
position. They can be saved provided the GPS signal strength indicator
has three or more bars. (Waypoint data is most accurate if four bars are
present.)
While Waypoints can be set anywhere, they are usually features or
landmarks directly related to pipeline pigging operations; for example,
signaler locations, launching/receiving stations, valves, manifolds, etc.
When the TRAXALL receiver is positioned at the desired waypoint:
1. pq to access SET WAYPOINT option
2. u or 8 to select a Job folder
3. u or 8 again to record the waypoint
