10 HOUR LUBE AND MAINTENANCE

1. MACHINE - Inspect the entire truck for leaks, worn
parts, and damage. Repair as necessary.
2. TURBOCHARGERS - Check for leaks, vibration, or
unusual noise.
3. ALTERNATOR - Check the alternator, belt condition,
and alignment.
4. RADIATOR - Check the coolant level and fill with the
proper mixture, as shown in the Cooling System Anti-
freeze Recommendation chart in this section. Refer to
the engine service manual for the proper DCA levels.
5. ENGINE - Check the oil level. Refer to the engine
manufacturer's service manual for oil recommenda-
tions.
6. AIR CLEANERS - Check the air cleaner vacuum
gauges in the operator cab. The air cleaner(s) must
be serviced if the maximum restriction reaches: 6.2
kPa (25 in. of H 0). See Section C of the Shop man-

ual for servicing the air cleaner elements. Empty the
air cleaner dust caps.
NOTE: After service, push the reset button on the
face of the gauge to allow the gauge to return to zero.
7. WHEELS AND TIRES - FRONT AND REAR
a. Verify the tires are properly inflated.
b. Inspect the tires for abnormal wear or dam-
age.
c. Check for embedded debris in the tires.
After each wheel installation, recheck the tightness of
the wheel nuts after approximately five hours of oper-
ation. Check again at the end of the shift, and then
periodically until all the nuts remain at 610 N·m (450
ft lbs).
8. BODY-UP SWITCH - Clean the sensing area of the
switch.
9. HOIST LIMIT SWITCH - Clean the sensing area of
the switch.
10. HYDRAULIC TANK - Check the oil level in the tank.
The oil must be visible in the top sight glass. Add oil, if
necessary, but do not overfill.

additional information.
