High speed binary output logic (HSBO)

HSBO- trip from the high-speed function (HS)

In order to test the performance of the high-speed binary out function alone without any
interference from other functions the binary outputs configured for the HSBO function
must not carry any other signals. For example, if the outputs are shared with the TRIP
function the TRIP function should be switched off. In addition, the ZM1 function
should be switched off in order to avoid unwanted intervention.
Whenever a trip or carrier send appears during these tests, it should be possible to block
them through the function inputs HSBO-BLKHSTR and HSBO-BLKHSCS respective-
ly.
Activation of HSBO-BLKZCTR should not block any outputs in this case since it does
not belong to the high-speed function.
It should also be possible to block the output signals at the backing function from which
the internal signals are derived (HS--).
High-speed trips will also be initiated by the HS--- function block.
Use the 3-phase test set to achieve the specified conditions.
Suggested fault characteristics, for all types of faults:
• Fault current at least 2 times I
• Prefault conditions: U
• Fault conditions: Within set operating characteristic of HS function
During these tests the output will appear only for a short period of time (20ms), usually
these pulses will be observable when connected to some indication device, but the
blocking procedure has to be performed with the blocking input set before each activa-
tion of the function.
Procedure
1.
Apply inputs in different combinations to ZC1P-CACCLn,
ZC1P-CRLm / ZC1P-CRMPH and check the outputs of HSBO-
TRL
When faults are applied according to Table 6, trip and carrier send
outputs should appear as indicated (with YES)
