2.2.5 Regular checks during storage
The following checks should be made regularly during storage.
Every month:
•
Check that the anti-condensation heaters or alternative method of heating the
machine is working.
•
Check that the ventilation works.
Every 3 months:
•
Check the insulation resistance, see Chapter 7.6.4. Insulation resistance test.
•
Check that there is no corrosion on the surfaces. If corrosion is observed,
remove the corrosion and protect the surfaces.
•
Check that the anti-corrosion agents have not cracked.
2.2.6 Storage and care after installation
If the machine will not be in operation for a longer period of time after installation,
the same measures as in Chapter 2.2.1. Short term storage (less than 2 months)
should be applied. Remember to rotate the shaft 10 revolutions at least every
3 months.
