Preliminary operations

5.2.1 Safety instructions for installation
Before installing the hob:
WARNING: Install the units only in suitable places.
WARNING: Check that the work surface is flat and level and that there are no structural
obstructions within the space required for installation.
WARNING: Make sure the worktop is made of heat-resistant material.
WARNING: If the hob is installed on top of an oven, make sure that the oven has
ventilation.
WARNING: Make sure that the installation is carried out in compliance with all safety
regulations and standards.
WARNING: Make sure that an appropriate switch that allows total disconnection from
the main power supply is incorporated into the wiring and positioned to comply with local
regulations on electrical wiring.
WARNING: Make sure the isolation switch is of an approved type and provides 3 mm
contact separation in all poles (or all live conductors [phase] if local cabling rules allow for
this variation in requirements).
WARNING: The isolation switch must be easily accessible to the user after installing the
hob.
