CAUTION: Beware of hot surfaces
The letter "H" indicates which hotplate is still hot to the
touch. It goes out as soon as the surface has cooled
down to a safe temperature. It can also be used as
an energy saving function if you want to heat several
dishes and use the still hot hotplate for this purpose.
4.2.5 Control lock button (child safety lock)
The controls can be locked to prevent unwanted use (so that children, for example, cannot accidentally
switch on the cooking zones).
When the control buttons are locked, no buttons will be activated except the ON/OFF button.
To lock the controls
Press the control lock button
To unlock the controls
1 - Make sure the ceramic glass hob is switched on.
2 - Press and hold the key lock button
3 - The ceramic glass hob is now ready for use.
WARNING: When the hob is in lock mode, all controls are disabled except the ON/OFF
button. It is always possible to turn off the hob with the ON/OFF button in an emergency,
but the hob must first be unlocked for subsequent operations.
4.2.6 Automatic shutdown
Automatic shutdown is a safety protection function for the hob. If you forget to switch off the appliance
after cooking, the appliance switches off automatically. The default shutdown times for the various
power levels are shown in the table below:
