3. If the board is in a network with DHCP, proceed to step 6. If the board is connected back-to-
back with the host, perform the following steps. You can run the udhcpc linux command to
view the IP address assigned by the DHCP server.
4. Set a static IP address in the host machine. For example, IP address: 192.168.1.2 and Subnet
mask: 255.255.255.0.
a. Go to Control Panel\Network and Internet\Network Connections and open Properties.
b. Ensure that:
• The last digit of the IP address on the Windows PC is different than what is being set
on the board.
• The default gateway has the last digit as one, the rest of the digits should be same as
the IP address field.
• For example:
IP address: 192.168.1.2

Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
○
Default gateway: 192.168.1.1
