The TRZ Smart HART Temperature Transmitter is a 4...20 mA loop-powered, configurable
universal transmitter with galvanic isolation between input and output. The input can be
configured for RTD or T/C sensors, resistance, current or voltage signals.
The TRZ is embedded in silicone which makes it resistant to humid environments. It has a
6.5 mm centre hole for fast sensor replacement and spring loaded mounting screws which
ensures a safe fastening even in vibrating environments.
Safety instruction
This instrument is built and tested according to the current EU-directives and packed in
technically safe condition. In order to maintain this condition and to ensure safe operation,
the user must follow the hints and warnings given in this instruction.
During the installation the valid national rules have to be observed. Ignoring the warnings
may lead to severe personal injury or substantial damage to property.
The product must be operated by trained staff. Correct and safe operation of this equipment
is dependent on proper transport, storage, installation and operation.
All electrical wiring must conform to local standards. In order to prevent stray electrical
radiation, we recommend twisted and shielded input cables, as also to keep power supply
cables separated from the input cables. The connection must be made according to the
connecting diagrams.
Before switching on the power supply take care that other equipment is not affected. Ensure
that the supply voltage and the conditions in the environment comply with the specification
of the device. Before switching off the supply voltage check the possible effects on other
equipment and the processing system.
LED function
The LED on the TRZ indicate the actual status of the measured value. The green LED will
be turned on continuously as long as the measured value results in an output current be-
tween 4 and 20 mA.
If the output current is higher than 20 mA or lower than 4 mA the green and red LED will
flash with 1 Hz. If a sensor break is detected the red LED will light up constantly.
Configuration
The TRZ can be configured using the TRZ HART DD with any HART handheld communi-
cator.

De TRZ Smart HART® temperatuurtransmitter is een 4... 20 mA lusgevoede,
configureerbare universele transmitter met galvanische isolatie tussen input en output. De
ingang kan worden geconfigureerd voor RTD- of T / C-sensoren, weerstands-, stroom- of
spanningssignalen. De TRZ is ingebed in siliconen waardoor hij bestand is tegen vochtige
omgevingen. Het heeft een 6,5 mm gat in het midden voor snelle vervanging van de sensor
en veerbelaste montageschroeven die zorgen voor een veilige bevestiging, zelfs in
vibrerende omgevingen.

technisch veilige staat. Om deze toestand te behouden en om een veilige werking te
garanderen, moet de gebruiker de aanwijzingen en waarschuwingen in deze instructie

Tijdens de installatie moeten de geldende nationale regels in acht worden genomen. Het
negeren van de waarschuwingen kan leiden tot ernstig persoonlijk letsel of aanzienlijke
materiële schade.

brandt continu zolang de gemeten waarde resulteert in een uitgangsstroom tussen 4 en 20
mA.
Configuratie
De TRZ kan worden geconfigureerd met een standaard micro-USB-kabel. De maximale
afstand is afhankelijk van het kabeltype, de weerstand en de capaciteit.
