The Infotainment screen is operated by touching
it lightly with your finger.

Update and system support
Society Volkswagen keeps the systems in your vehi-
cle up to date and provides them with full support in
terms of legal regulations in the field of cybersecuri-
ty.
Limitations
For safety reasons, some Infotainment system func-
tions cannot be operated while driving, or they are
restricted in their use.
The Infotainment system indicates this via a mes-
sage on the screen.
Some Infotainment system functions are not availa-
ble when the ignition is switched off, e.g. driving da-
ta.
Basic setting
Setting basic functions
The following Infotainment system functions are set
by tapping the
menu:

Sound settings
The Infotainment system sound can be set by tap-
ping the
menu.
System Audio
The volume can be set for the following individual
functions:
— Maximum volume when the Infotainment system
is switched on
— Speed-dependent volume
— Volume of navigation instructions
The Infotainment system - first start-up
When starting the Infotainment system for the first
time or after restoring the factory settings, the sys-
tem prompts you to set the basic functions.
— Follow the on-screen instructions to set the func-
tions correctly.
HOME set-up
HOME is used to quickly start up preferred functions.
The layout of the
functional areas can be

changed.
The arrangement of the functional areas can be ad-
justed as follows:
— Press and hold the desired functional area until it
is free.
— Select the desired arrangement.
Safely disconnecting the connected USB device
NOTICE
Risk of damage to the data on the connected USB
device
To disconnect a USB device safely, proceed as fol-
lows:

Tap
Media Unmount Safely
·
Select the desired device.
·
Disconnect the USB device.
If the device cannot be disconnected safely,
switch off the Infotainment system and dis-
connect the device.
