LPDA Installation guide
Thank you for choosing RFI's wideband, Low Passive Intermodulation, RoHS compliant antenna.
Follow the below instructions & diagrams for optimization and safe installation of your new antenna.
1. Ensure the antenna has not been damaged in transit. A visual inspection of welds, radiating elements,
boom assembly, cable and connector will reveal any obvious physical damage that could have occurred
during transportation.
2. Ensure your installation is clear of any hazards and the antenna will be free of any obstructions once
installed.
RFI recommends the use of suitably qualified installers to undertake this task.
Installation of antennas involves significant risks which could lead to serious injury or even death.
3. Ensure the correct mating connector is chosen for termination on the feeder cable.
4. Apply appropriate weather-proofing between the connector junctions through the use of suitable water
proofing tape and UV stable electrical tape. Strain relief is required on the cable tail adjoining the feeder
cable protecting the connector interface.
5. Ensure the mounting hardware (supplied) is adequately secured to the adjoining mast and antenna boom.
The "U-bolt which secure to the bracket to mast should be tightened to 15Nm / (11 lbf.ft)
