TROUBLESHOOTING

Problem
Mixer does not turn on.
The sound level is very low.
The output sound is very distorted.
The Crossfader does not work.
The Output sound exhibits
excessive hum or buzzing.
NOTE:
Static electricity and/or other external interference may cause this unit to malfunction. To reset the unit to it's
normal condition, turn the power off and then on again. If the problem continues to persist, refer to the
connected component's troubleshooting guides. If the problem is not resolved after checking these items,
contact the nearest authorized Numark dealer.
Cause?
Disconnected Power Cord?
The Input Selector Switch is in the
wrong position.
The component is connected to the
wrong input terminal or channel.
The main output device is
connected to the Recording Level
Output.
The Input Trims are set too high.
The Master Volume is set too high.
The Crossfader Reverse Toggle is in
the wrong position.
The Turntable Grounding wires are
not connected.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Solution
Connect Power Cord.

pages 15-16
Select the device that is playing
with the input selector switch.
See CONTROLS, page 7
Connect the input to the correct
channel using the Set-Up Diagram.
See SETUP DIAGRAM, page 4
Connect the output device to the
Master Output.
See INPUTS AND OUTPUTS,
pages 15-16
Adjust the Input Trims so that they
average 0db on the LED display.
See CONTROLS, page 7
Adjust the Master Volume so that
0db is averaged on the LED display.
See CONTROLS, page 11
Set the Crossfader Reverse Toggle
to the opposite direction.
See CONTROLS, page 13
Connect the Turntable Ground
wires to their respective Grounding
Lug.
