- screw the front threaded sleeve J tightly onto the
threaded connection AA of the telescoping pole C
- pull on the saw head pole B to verify that it is securely
locked in place
! be certain that the front threaded sleeve J is fully
tightened before operating the equipment; check
it periodically for tightness during use to avoid
serious personal injury
• Mounting the assist handle
- loosen the wing nut AB and remove it with the clamp
bolt AC aa
- position the handle L between the rear handle housing
AE and the rear threaded sleeve K ab. Press the
handle L onto the handle pole D ac. The handle L
should be adjusted so that your arm is straight when
using the pole saw.
- insert the clamp block AD and assemble the clamp bolt
AC with the wing nut AB. Press down the lock lever AF
and fully tighten the wing nut AB ad.
• Attaching the shoulder strap s
- for safe and comfortable operation, put on the shoulder
strap AK across the shoulder to relieve the weight on
the operator's arms
- depress the carabiner to open it and hook the carabiner
onto the shoulder strap loop AL
- adjust the shoulder strap length to a comfortable
operating position
! when emergency occurs, take the strap off from
your shoulder immediately to avoid injury
• Charging battery
! read the safety warnings and instructions
provided with the charger

• Battery level indicator d
- press the battery level indicator button AG to show the
current battery level d a
! when the lowest level of the battery indicator
starts flashing red for 10s after pressing button
AG d b, the battery is nearly depleted.
• Battery protection
The machine is suddenly being switched off or prevented
from being switched on, when
- the load is too high --> remove load and restart
- the battery is empty--> the 4 levels of the battery level
indicator starts flashing red for 10s; Remove the battery
from the machine and charge the battery d c
- the battery temperature is not within the allowable
operating temperature range of -20 to +50°C -->4
levels of the battery level indicator keep solid red for
10s; wait until battery has returned within the allowable
operating temperature range d d
! do not continue to press the on/off switch after the
machine is switched off automatically; battery may
be damaged
• Adjusting the telescoping pole height f
- loosen the rear threaded sleeve K counterclockwise
- extend the telescoping pole C to the required length
- tighten the rear threaded sleeve K clockwise securely
• Tensioning chain
- loosen the side-cover knob Q
- slightly lift up and hold the tip of the guide bar F as you
adjust the tension. Ensure that the guide bar F has
some movement.
- turn the chain-tension adjusting knob R according to
the chain-tension adjusting mark AH on the housing
until all chain sections are just touching the bottom
edge of the guide g.
- check the chain tension by pulling the chain G upward.
The correct chain tension is achieved when the saw
chain G can be lifted by approx. 6 mm from the guide
bar F in the centre h.
- pull the saw chain G along the upper side of the guide
bar F from one end to the other several times h. The
chain G should feel tight but still move freely.
- tighten the side-cover knob Q firmly to fix the guide bar
F j
• Lubrication k
Chain life and cutting capacity depend on optimum
lubrication. The chain is automatically lubricated with
chain oil during operation.
! the pole saw is not supplied filled with oil; it is
essential to fill with oil before use
! never operate the pole saw without chain oil or
when the oil level is below the minimum mark AI,
as this will result in damage to the product
! do not smoke or bring any fire or flame near the oil
or the pole saw. Oil may spill and cause a fire.
- clean the oil-tank cap T and the area around it to
ensure that no dirt falls into the oil tank
- position the pole saw on its side on a firm, flat surface
with the tank cap T facing upwards. Twist the oil-tank
cap T counterclockwise to remove it.
- pour the bar and chain oil into the tank. Do not let the oil
spill from the opening. Do not overfill and leave approx.
5 mm space between the oil level and the inside edge
of the tank to allow for expansion. Wipe off any excess
oil.
- replace and fasten the cap T
! use only readily biodegradable chain oil
! to prevent oil seepage when the saw is not in use,
empty the oil tank after each use, and then run the
saw for one minute
! to prevent rust on the chain and bar sprocket,
make sure the chain is lightly lubricated before
storing for a long period of time
• On/off l
- press and hold the lock-off button, then squeeze the
trigger switch to start the saw
- release the lock-off button and continue to squeeze the
trigger for continued operation
- switch off the machine by releasing the trigger switch
• Operating the machine
- always hold the pole saw with both hands: with one
hand on the rear handle E and the other hand on the
assist handle L;
! the pole saw must be running at full speed before
it makes contact with the wood
- do not force the chain while cutting; let the chain do
the work
- use the pole saw only with secure footing
! be certain the threaded sleeves of the poles are
fully tightened before operating the machine.
Check them periodically for tightness during use
to avoid serious personal injury.
! beware the object being cut does not exceed the
usable cutting length of the pole saw. The tip of
