BayStream 7.3 Documentation Change Notice
Parameter: OSPF Slot Priority
Path: Configuration Manager > Protocols > IP > OSPF > Global
Default: All slots
Options: Any slot on the router
Function: Prioritizes the slots the BayStream platform considers for election to run OSPF
the next time OSPF starts. The next time OSPF starts, it starts on the highest
priority slot available.
Instructions: Leave blank to allow the BayStream platform to start OSPF on the first
eligible slot to become available when the current OSPF process
terminates.
Or, enter a comma-delimited list of the slots in order of priority. Do not
enter spaces.
Note: If you use the OSPF Slot parameter to restrict the slots eligible to run
OSPF, the settings of this parameter must be a subset of those slots. If you
prioritize only some of the OSPF Slot parameter settings, and all of the priority
slots are unavailable when OSPF restarts, OSPF restarts on the first available
eligible slot.
The following sample setting prioritizes slots 2, 3, and 5:
Example: 2,3,5
MIB Object ID: 1.3.6.1.4.1.18.3.5.3.2.3.1.19
