2-3-5. Flange Back Adjustment (Using the Flange Back Adjustment Chart and
Subject More Than 500 m Away)

- Without Using Flange Back Adjustment Tool -

The inner focus lens fl ange back adjustment is carried out automatically. If it is not corrected, the focus
will be deviated during auto focusing/manual focusing.

1. Flange back adjustment (1)

Subject: Flange back adjustment chart (2.0 m from the front of lens)
(Luminance:300 to 400 lux)
Measuring equipment: Remote commander RM-95
Adjustment page: 6F
Adjustment address: 11, 48 to 58
Specifi cation: Data of page:6F, address:57 is "00" to "09".
Data of pege:6, address:0C is "00".

. Perform "Hall Adjustment" (Section 2-3-1), "MR Adjustment" (Section 2-3-2) and "Image Sensor
Output 2ch Matching Adjustment" (Section 2-3-3) before this adjustment.
. Perform the adjustment with the lens in horizontal state.
. If reading/writing data on page 6F, set data:06 to page:0, address:10, and then select page F. By this data
setting, the page 6F can be selected.
After the data reading/writing fi nished, return the data on page:0, address:10 to "00".
. Check that the data of page:6, address:02 is "00". If not, select page:6, address:01, set data:00, and press
the PAUSE button.
Preparation
1) Check that the center of Flange back adjustment chart satisfi es the center of shot image screen with
the zoom lens at TELE end and WIDE end respectively.

83 Set the bit value of bit3 is "0", and press the PAUSE button.
13 Press the PAUSE button.
Wait for 2 seconds.
15 Press the PAUSE button. (*1)
Check that the data changes to "01".
Check that the data is "00".

Check that the data is "00" to "09".
