2. Communication control system
With a microcomputer that controls the whole camera system in the center, the communication control
system interfaces with VISCA transmission and reception, receives an IR remote control SIRCS signal,
and communicates with a camera block in series. External VISCA communication is used for daisy-chain
connection through an IN/OUT terminal.
3. Motor control system
The motor control system controls a pan/tilt DC motor with a system control microcomputer in the center.
The SY-359 board includes the UVW-phase driver circuit of a pan motor and the amplifi er circuit of an
FG signal. However, a tilt motor circuit is mounted on the MDR-42 board of a tilt chassis.
4. Power block
The power block consists of a DC/DC converter or serial regulator circuit that generates the voltage
power, required in each block, from a power voltage of +12 V supplied from a DC IN terminal. A voltage
monitoring function is provided in all output channels of power supply. The voltage monitoring function
notifi es a system control microcomputer of the information when it detects the decrease in a voltage, and
the microcomputer shuts down all power supplies so as to protect a circuit.
4-5. SE-987 Board
This SE-987 board is a board on which a photo-interrupter that detects the reference position of pan
operation was mounted. It is installed in a base chassis and connected with the SY-359 board using a 6-pin
fl exible fl at cable.
4-6. MDR-42 Board
This MDR-42 board is a driver board installed in the tilt motor block of a tilt chassis. It mounts the UVW-
phase driver circuit of a tilt motor, an FG amplifi er, and a photo-interrupter that detects the reference
position of tilt operation. The MDR-42 board is connected with the SY-359 board using a 26-pin fl exible
fl at cable.
