Condition
Traction drive does not engage when OPC
bail is engaged.
Traction drive does not reach full speed.

Traction drive pulls to one side.

Probable Cause
System voltage too low.
Park brake engaged.
Speed paddle setting is too low.
OPC cable damaged.
OPC rotary switch malfunction.
Traction drive belts not tensioned properly.
Traction drive belts worn, stretched, or
damaged.
Key damaged or missing on traction drive
motor shaft.
Key damaged or missing on traction drum
shaft pulley.
Traction drum differential damaged.
Traction drive belts not tensioned properly.
Traction drive belts worn, stretched, or
damaged.
Traction drum differential damaged.
Park brake cable not adjusted properly or
not fully releasing.
Traction drum bearing binding, worn, or
damaged.
Remedy
Check battery pack voltage.
Release park brake. (Refer to Operator's
Manual.)
Increase machine speed. (Refer to
Operator's Manual)
Replace OPC cable. (See "OPC Cable" on
page 6-9.)
Check OPC rotary switch. (See "OPC Bail
Control Test" on page 4-40.)
Adjust traction drive belt tension. (See
"Traction Drive Belt Tension Check and
Adjustment" on page 5-5.)
Replace drive belt(s). (See "Traction Drive
Belts" on page 5-7.)
Repair or replace key as needed. (See

Repair or replace key as needed. (See

Repair or replace differential assembly.
