Please read the instruction carefully before operating the unit.

REPLACING BATTERY FOR THE REMOTE CONTROL

  1. Remove the battery compartment door by applying thumb pressure to area indicated on battery door and then lift the door out and off the cabinet.
  2. Before inserting the batteries, observe the polarities (+ and -) of the battery, then relate the polarities to the engraved diagram inside the battery compartment, insert 2x1.5V, R3/UM4/"AAA" batteries into the compartment.
  3. Replace the compartment door.


Before throwing any batteries away, consult your distributor who may be able to take them back for specific recycling.

Notes on batteries

  • Never recharge the batteries, apply heat to them or take them apart.
  • Battery shall not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine, fire or the like.
  • Do not throw the batteries in fire!
  • Attention should be drawn to the environmental aspects of battery disposal.
  • If the remote control is not going to be used for a long time, remove the battery to avoid damage caused by battery leakage corrosion.


Danger of explosion if battery is incorrectly replaced. Replace only with the same or equivalent type.

Stick the accessorial 2 pcs silicon pad and assembly 2 wheels on the bottom of unit as below direction.

  • Insert the plug of power cord into a standard wall outlet
  • The included AC power cord is for use with this unit only. Do not use it with other equipment.
  • When the unit is not going to be used for long time, disconnect the power cord from the AC outlet.
  • Be sure to use it near the wall outlet. If a malfunction occurs, disconnect the plug from the wall outlet at once.
  • If the AC power cord is plugged in, the apparatus is not completely disconnected from the main power source, even when the unit is turned off.
  • AC power cord is used as the disconnect device. It shall remain readily operable and should not be obstructed during intended use. To be completely disconnected the apparatus from supply mains, the AC power cord of the apparatus shall be disconnected from the mains socket outlet completely.

GENERAL OPERATION

  1. Connect the AC power cord to the unit and wall outlet, press the POWER (27) switch to turn on the unit, and the display will lights up. Press (14/R1) button to enter standby mode, You will hear the voice of "Power Off".
  2. Press the MODE (15/R2) button repeatedly to switch to desired mode: Bluetooth/ Aux/ Line in/ USB
    Note: Only insert USB driver or 3.5mm audio cable could switch into USB or AUX mode.
  3. During Playback:
  • Adjust the VOL (13) or (R9) to select the volume level as desired.
  • Press the EQ (7/R15) button to set EQ (equalizers) mode as desired: FLAT (normal)/ CLAS (classic)/ rOC (rock)/ POP/ JAZZ/ LIVE/ CLUB/ DANC (dance)/ HALL/ SOFT.
  • Press (17/R12) button to play or pause.
  • Press MUTE (R7) button to mute the sound. Press again to resume.
  • Press the (18/R11) button to skip to the next track. Press the (16/R10) button to skip to the previous track.
    Note:
  • MEGA BASS (8/R16): It is a separated bass mode can be selected when there is audio signal.
  • TONE (11/R8): When there is audio signal, press this button to select treble or bass, and then rotate the VOL (13) knob to adjust the level as desired.
  1. When finished listening, press the POWER (27) switch to turn off the unit. Note: If no source is played, the unit will go to standby mode automatically after 20 minutes.

BLUETOOTH PAIRING & LINKING OPERATION

  1. Turn off the Bluetooth functionality of other devices that were paired with your unit.
  2. Press the (14/R1) button to turn on the unit.
  3. Press MODE (15/R2) button until "bt" appears on display.
  4. On the Bluetooth device, enable Bluetooth and select "M-1986DJ" from the Device List.(Refer to the user manual of the device to be connected for detailed operations.) If the Bluetooth device prompts for a passcode, use "0000". Some Bluetooth devices will ask you to accept the connection. If the units are paired properly, you will hear the confirmation music.

Tip: If you want to connect your Bluetooth speaker to another Bluetooth audio device, press UNPAIR (R18) button to disconnect the device, and then follow the steps above to make a new connection.

Play MUSIC from Bluetooth devices.
Make sure the Bluetooth connection between the unit and the device is active.

  1. Press (17/R12) to suspend momentarily the playing track. Press (17/R12) again to resume playing.
  2. Press (18/R11) button to skip forward to next track and (16/R10) to skip backward to previous track.

Note: (17/R12) and (18/R11)/ (16/R10) buttons may not work with some of the players in your Bluetooth source.

USB PLAYBACK

You can connect a USB flash drive (not included) to the USB port on the unit to play MP3 files.

  1. Insert USB driver, the unit will read USB driver and play music automatically as "USB" appear on display.
  2. Press (17/R12) to suspend momentarily the playing track. Press again to resume playing.
  3. Press (18/R11) button to skip to next track and (16/R10) to skip to previous track. Press the (19/R14) or (20/R13) button for step rewind/forward to search.
  4. Using numeric buttons to select your desired track. eg: pressing "1", means track
    1. pressing "2"+"9" means track 29.
  5. Press REPEAT (R19) button to select to repeat current track or repeat all tracks. This function only work in USB mode.

Note:

  • The unit will automatically switch to USB mode and start playback when the USB flash drive is connected.
  • The unit is compatible with the following Memory Device (Source): USB flash drive.
  • Supporting format: MP3 (32kbps-320kbps), WMA, WAV.
  • The total number of MP3 files on the Memory Device should not exceed 9999.
  • There are many USB devices in the market. We cannot guarantee to support all different models. Please try another USB device if your device is not supported.

LISTENING TO AUXILIARY SOURCE

To 3.5mm AUX IN jack

  1. Connect your auxiliary source (e.g. iPod/ iPad/ MP3 player) to the 3.5mm AUX IN (4) jack.
  2. Press the (14/R1) button to turn on the unit. Press the MODE (15/R2) Button repeatedly until the "AUX" appears on display.
  3. Start playback from your auxiliary source.
  4. Adjust the volume to desired level.
  5. To stop playback, disconnect your auxiliary source from the AUX jack.

To RCA jacks

  1. Connect your auxiliary source (e.g. DVD player) to the INPUT L/R (25) jacks on back of unit with RCA audio cable (cable not included).
  2. Press MODE (15/R2) button repeatedly to select line in mode. The display will show "LINE".
  3. Start playback from your auxiliary source.
  4. Adjust the volume to desired level.
  5. To stop playback, disconnect your auxiliary source from the INPUT jacks.

USB CHARGER- A POWER USB PORT

Connect your device to USB cable (not included) and plug the standard USB plug into the USB charging port on the top of the unit. Notes:

  • The maximum output from the USB charging port is DC 5V 1A. You can charge any rechargeable USB devices charging current less than it, such as iPod, iPhone, iPad, MP3 Player...etc.
  • Charging function is available in Standby mode. Charging function is not available in USB mode.
  • Some devices may be incompatible.
  • When the USB charging cable is connected to the unit, music playback in Bluetooth mode will suspend. Press to resume playback.

SINGING THROUGH MIC JACK

  1. Sing along with the music by plugging in the provided microphone into either one of the MIC (1/2) jacks on the unit, you will hear the voice of "Mic. down". When you remove the microphone from the jack, you will hear the voice of "Mic. off".
    Notes:
  • Rotate the MIC. VOL (12) directly to adjust the volume as desired. Or press M.MENU (R5) button on the remote control first, then adjust volume by pressing (R9).
  • If the microphone is placed near the loudspeaker, a howling effect (acoustic feedback) may occur. If this happens, place microphone away from the loudspeaker.
    Tapping or dropping the microphone can permanently damage your microphone. Resist the urge to swing the microphone around by the cord.
  1. MIC. PRIO: Press the MIC. PRIO (10/R6) button, you will hear "Mic.firster". It make the mic.volume louder than the music volume during singing. Press the button again to resume.
  2. DELAY: Press the DELAY (6) button to adjust microphone voice delay time. By pressing the DELAY (6) button, and rotate the MIC. VOL (12) knob to adjust it.
  3. ECHO: Adjust the echo control to enhance the singer's voice for a concert hall effect. By pressing the ECHO (5) button, and rotate the MIC. VOL (12) knob to adjust it.

ADJUSTINGE THE LED LIGHTS

  1. Select the Light Modes
  • No audio signal, the lights will flash slowly. Press the LIGHT MODE (9) or LIGHT +/- (R3) button to adjust the color of speaker lights, and there are 8 kinds of modes for selection.
  • With Audio Signal, the lights will flash along with the music. Press the LIGHT MODE (9) or LIGHT +/- (R3) button to adjust the color of speaker lights, and there are 9 kinds of light modes for selection.
  1. Press the BRIGHT ON/ OFF (R4) button to turn on / off the LED lights.

PARTY CHIN FUNCTION

You can connect multiple audios by using audio cords (not supplied) in a chain to create a more interesting party environment and to produce higher sound output. Activate one set in the chain to be the "Party Host" and share the music. Other units will become "Party Guest" and play the same music as the "Party Host".

TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE

Symptom Cause Solution

No power

AC power cord not connected. Connect the AC power cord correctly.
The unit is in Standby mode. Press the button to turn on the unit.


No sound

Volume in minimum. Adjust volume to a desired level.
The connected device is not in playback mode. P l a y t h e m u s i c i n t h e connected device.
Sound output of the connected device weak. Adjust volume of connected device.

Sound distortion

Volume level too high. Reduce the volume level by press the VOL- button.
Volume level of the connected device too high. Reduce the volume level of the connected device.

Bluetooth reception failure

Not in the Bluetooth mode. Try to do connection again.

  • The apparatus shall not be exposed to dripping or splashing place. And don't put the objects that filled with liquids on the apparatus, such as vases.
  • Do not block any ventilation openings. Install in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.
  • Do not install near any heat sources such as fire, radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other apparatus (including amplifiers) that produce heat.
  • Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched particularly at plugs, convenience receptacles, and the point where they exit from the apparatus.
  • Only use attachments / accessories specified by the manufacturer.
  • Unplug this apparatus during lightning storms or when unused for long periods of time.
  • Do not overload wall outlets and extension cords as this can result in a risk or fire or electric shock.
  • When replacement parts are required, be sure the service technician uses replacement parts specified by the manufacturer or those that have the same characteristics as the original part. Unauthorized substitutions may resu in fire or electric shock or other hazards.
