Configuring the DAC 102 using PCS
Device Menu
The device menu contains options pertaining to device connection, configuration, and
information (see figure 18).

Updating the firmware
To update the firmware to the device:

Disconnect — Disconnect the device from the PCS program and close the device tab.
Settings — Open the Hardware Settings submenu.
Hardware Settings — Display the Hardware Settings dialog box with device

information and option to change the device name of connected device.
Reset Device — Open the Reset Device dialog box, with selectable models for
resetting the connected device, as well as the unit Information (also displayed in the
Hardware Settings dialog box).
Update Firmware — Open a submenu to upload firmware from the host device to the
connected device.

Update Firmware to this Device... — Upload firmware from the host device to
the connected device only (see "Updating the firmware" starting below for details).
About this Module — Open the About This Module dialog box, with the module
part number and firmware version of the connected device.
Ensure the latest firmware version of the DAC 102 is downloaded onto the computer
(see
Software/Firmware Installation
firmware).
ATTENTION:
Verify the hardware type, prior to downloading and installing
firmware. Hardware type can be confirmed by checking for a label adjacent to the
CONFIG port (see the image in the French
that are designated as "TYPE #" require firmware which corresponds to the same
hardware type.
(Ex. Hardware designated as "TYPE 2" is only compatible with firmware marked
as "TYPE 2". Hardware without a "TYPE #" designation is only compatible with
firmware that is not marked with "TYPE #").
Attempting to load the incorrect firmware will result in an incomplete or
unsuccessful firmware update.
