Connection diagrams
Accumulation of potentially explosive gases
Explosion hazard
Potentially explosive gases can accumulate in the enclosure during maintenance work.
• Purge the enclosure with inert gas once maintenance work is complete.
Note
Optical signaling of the maintenance mode
To recognize the enabled maintenance mode (Bypass) of the Ex p safety equipment, we
recommend connecting an optical sensor on site.
Note
When leaving bypass mode, the purging unit F870S returns to the same mode it was in
previously (pre-purging phase or purging phase).
