VT1 Ring Example 4 (Add a Mode 1 DLC System)
In this example it is assumed a three or more SONET node system, one CO
DDM-2000 service node and at least one SLC -2000 customer access drop node are
used. It assumes multiplexer group 1 (CO DDM-2000 Function Group A) DS1 slot 1 is
used to provide four DS1 ports to support a Mode 1 DLC system in metallic
distribution shelf 1 at the SLC -2000 RT. Figure 1 shows an example of a six-node
system, where nodes 1 and 5 are add/drop nodes and all the rest are pass-through
nodes.
NOTE:
You will generate alarms until all cross-connections at all nodes are made
correctly.
11. At each pass-through node, enter the following cross-connections:
For one DS1 port at a time, enter:
ent-crs-vt1:m-1-1-1,m-1-1-1;
ent-crs-vt1:m-1-1-2,m-1-1-2;
ent-crs-vt1:m-1-1-3,m-1-1-3;
ent-crs-vt1:m-1-1-4,m-1-1-4;
For four DS1 ports at a time enter:
ent-crs-vt1:m-1-1-all,m-1-1-all;
12. At both the CO DDM-2000 and the SLC -2000 nodes (add/drop nodes), enter
the following cross-connections:
For one DS1 port at a time, enter:
ent-crs-vt1:m-1-1-1,a-1-1;
ent-crs-vt1:m-1-1-2,a-1-2;
ent-crs-vt1:m-1-1-3,a-1-3;
ent-crs-vt1:m-1-1-4,a-1-4;
For four DS1 ports at a time, enter:
ent-crs-vt1:m-1-1-all,a-1-all;
Response: All alarms clear after all cross-connections are entered.
