- Page 2 GENERAL INFORMATION The AP5 MBOE is designed to be installed into a commercial ice machine, walk-in, or delicatessen cooler, and used virtually maintenance-free . Please read and follow all procedures outlined in this manual . Manufacturer’s liability is limited to the operation of this equipment as per the Limited Warranty . The Purchaser assumes all responsibility for any damages, which result from operation or negligence .
- Page 3 Designed to run at voltages between 100 - 240 VAC 50/60 Hz The advanced oxidation gases produced by the AP5 MBOE System are powerful oxidizers . Please use the AP5 cautiously . All instructions, warnings and safety precautions set forth in this manual must be followed .
- Page 4 INSTALLATION FOR ICE MACHINE CAUTION: After installation, activTek recommends emptying and cleaning the ice machine completely to ensure no contaminants are present . 1 . Remove shipping screw before mounting unit on wall . 2 . Determine a suitable location to mount unit with access to a standard electrical outlet .
- Page 5 . WARNING: The amount of ozone produced by the AP5 MBOE System is below the maximum permissible OSHA standard for ozone concentration in an inhabited, enclosed area (0 .04 ppm) .
- Page 6 4 . Remove the ActivePure® Cell 5 . Replace thumb screws . 6 . Replace cover and replace with a new one . and screws . NOTE: activTek suggests replacing the ActivePure® Cell after 2 years of service to maintain peak performance .

CAUTION: Do not use in an overheated (over 120˚ F .) or an explosive atmosphere . CAUTION: Always use a GFI protected outlet in damp or wet locations .
