SECOND STAGE POWER REGULATION.
After having completed the ignition power adjustment, press key (9)
towards symbol
in order to reach air and gas maximum delivery.
Check that the electric servomotor second stage gas flow rate
regulation cam is positioned at 130°.
• To regulate the gas flow operate the valve pressure regulator.
Consult the instructions related to the installed gas valve model.
Avoid keeping the burner running if the heating capacity is greater
than the maximum amount allowed for the boiler, to avoid damaging
it.
• For adjusting the air flow rate, operate on the screws (11), correct the
rotation angle of the air gate in the suitable position to guarantee the
right quantity for the power burned.
• Check the combustion parameters with appropriate instruments
(C02 max= 10%, O2 min=3%, CO max=0,1%)
FIRST STAGE POWER REGULATION
After regulation of the burner in maximum flame, restore the burner
to minimum flame. Turn the selector (9) to minimum (MIN) position
without varying the adjustment of the gas valve already performed.
• Regulate the minimum flame gas flow rate to the required value
using the regulation cam for servomotor minimum output.
• Check the combustion parameters in the 1st stage with appropriate
instruments (C02 max= 10%, O2 min=3%, CO max=0,1%)
• If necessary, correct the combustion air supply adjusting the screw(s)
(12).
ADJUSTING THE FLOW RATE FOR IGNITION
• Once regulation of minimum flame has been carried out, the burner
needs to be switched off and check that ignition occurs properly. If
necessary, it is possible to optimise burner regulation during ignition,
proceeding as follows:
- Adjust the ignition gas flow rate, by acting on the ignition power
adjustment cam. It is often advisable to set the ignition cam to a
slightly higher angle than the one of the minimum flame cam.
• If necessary, correct the combustion air supply adjusting the screw(s)
(12).
• Check the activation of the flame detector (ionisation electrode) by
disconnecting the ionisation cable and connecting the burner.
The equipment must run through its cycle completely and, three
seconds after the ignition flame has formed, "lock-out".
This test should also be conducted with the burner already on. The
apparatus should shut down immediately when the ionisation cable is
disconnected.
• Check the efficiency of the thermostats or boiler pressure switches
(they should shut down the burner when triggered).
CAUTION / WARNINGS
The throttle valve for gas adjustment is factory set to position "1"
on the lever. If it is necessary to decrease the opening angle of
the gas throttle, set the joint to position "2".
CAUTION / WARNINGS
Once the adjusting operations are completed, visually check that
the screws acting on the slider have a progressive profile. Using
the special instruments check also that when passing from
minimum to maximum flame the combustion parameters are not
too far from optimal values.
