The mounting base of the pan-and-tilt can accommodate many Vicon mounts and accessories. The base offers three mounting configurations, so that Vicon medium-duty, heavy -duty, and UK standard mounts can be accommodated. Choose the appropriate mount for the combined weight of the pan-and-tilt and camera/housing assembly.
There are three mounting slots on the camera mounting plate. To obtain optimum balance, the screw(s) used to mount the camera or camera/housing assembly can be placed in any of these slots. These slots follow Vicon’s standard housing mounting hole pattern to accommodate all Vicon light- and medium-duty housings, as well as UK standard housings and accessories.
Connector Assembly Assemble an interconnecting cable according to the procedures that follow. Refer to Figure 3 for connector locations. Refer to Figure 5 and accompanying tables for pin connections. The parts for the connector assembly are provided in the accessory kit. Caution: Do not apply 230 VAC through VIST35-RP and VIST25-VRP slip ring (continuous rotation) versions.

Autopan Adjustments To adjust the limits on the VIST35-AP: After the manual limit stops are set, proceed as follows to set the autopan limit stops. Refer to Figure 9. Caution: The pan-and-tilt will start to move suddenly. Be sure that the unit is secure before performing this procedure and keep hands away from moving parts.
Figure 9 VIST35-AP Adjustments Preset Position Adjustments The preset position versions of the ViStar pan-and-tilt must be used with one of the NOVA (VPS) system digital controls or the Vicoax V1902VCT digital control. To program presets, follow the instructions provided with the control unit.
Operation When the unit is wired to an appropriate control unit, movements along two axes, pan and tilt, are possible. Refer to the instruction manual for the particular control for detailed instructions. Note: Operating the VIST35-P, VIST35-AP, VIST25-VP, VIST35-RP and VIST25-VRP models with preset requires the use of a control with preset position capability.
Shipping Instructions Use the following procedure when returning a unit to the factory: 1. Call or write Vicon for a Return Authorization (R.A.) at one of the locations listed below. Record the name of the Vicon employee who issued the R.A.
Caution: Careful selection of the proper cable is essential to obtain the best performance from this equipment. Vicon assumes no responsibility for poor performance when cables other than those recommended are installed. In all cases, coaxial cable impedance should be 75 ohms.
