Installing the Impeller Shaft Assembly

Assembly
Use the illustrations and instructions to install the
impeller shaft assembly into the volute cover.
Note: Make sure that the pump body and seal
housing passageways are clean and free
of debris before assembly.
1 Apply grease to the O-ring grooves, then
install the O-rings into the volute cover.
2 Apply grease to the gasket grooves, then
add a small drop of silicone sealant at the
cutout for each molded gasket plug.
3 Install the gaskets into the volute cover.
4 Apply anti-seize compound to the seal
housings, then lower the impeller shaft
assembly into the volute cover.
Note: Make sure that the seal housing dowel
pins, wear rings, and interstage seal are
fully seated in the volute cover.
5 Add a small drop of silicone sealant at each
point where the molded gaskets meet the seal
housing gaskets.
