4.2.2 Installing the SCSI Cable

1. Connect a 4-meter SCSI data cable to the tape library.
2. Route the SCSI data cable down the left side and along the bottom of the
expansion cabinet.
3. Route the SCSI data cable over the edge of the bottom panel of the
expansion cabinet.
See Figure 4-6. The cable will be routed between the bottom panel and the
kick panel when you replace the kick panel.

Note – You may want to use tie wraps as cable restraints for the data cables
connected to the tape library. Pass a tie wrap through the slit in the base of the
cabinet and secure the cable(s) in the wrap.
4. Route the SCSI data cable over to the system cabinet and connect it to the
appropriate host adaptor card.
See Figure 4-7. You must have an FSB/S or a SBE/S SCSI host adaptor card
in your system.
