Before Operation

Before starting the nitrogen generator, carefully read the 'Safety
Practices and Hazards' section at the front of this guide and ensure
that the laboratory is set up according to the details specified in the
Agilent MP-AES Site Preparation Guide.
In operation, the nitrogen generator cycles approximately every 40
seconds. At the end of each cycle the oxygen enriched air is vented to
the room from a vent in the bottom of the nitrogen generator. A noise
may be heard as this gas is released.
