benefit from the maximum throughput supported by the client.
This feature will help Wi-Fi client to roam to other APs within same Network. Steering happens when
clients is inactive or active clients with the standards 802.11K&V support. There are two options for
steering.
• Sticky client steer is based on minimum RSSI once it reaches the RSSI threshold (dBm) it will
disconnect and search for another AP.
Client Steering
• Load balance steer uses the standards 802.11K&V to build a neighborhood table with adjacent APs
informations (Channels utilization and Client numbers) and once it reaches full Channel utilization or
Client Access Threshold it will switch the client to another AP for better performance. If the client
doesn't support the standards 802.11K&V, it will only be deauthenticated with current AP when client
is idle. parameters of RSSI Threshold and Client Access Threshold parameters will show up only when
Client Steering is enabled.
Note : Client Steering works only if Band Steering is enabled.
