12 Electrical and Refrigerant Leak Checks

12.1 Electrical Safety Checks

After installation, confi rm that all electrical wiring is installed in
accordance with local and national codes / regulations, and according
to the Installation Manual. All testing must be performed by a licensed
electrician.
Before test run

Check grounding work

Measure grounding resistance by visual detection and with grounding
resistance tester. Grounding resistance must be less than 0.1Ω.
This may not be required for some locations. Refer to local code
requirements.
During test run

Check for electrical leakage:
During the Test Run , use an electroprobe and multimeter to perform a
comprehensive electrical leakage test. If electrical leakage is detected, turn
off the unit immediately and call a licensed electrician to fi nd and resolve the
cause of the leakage.

codes and must be installed by a licensed electrician.

12.2 Refrigerant Leak Checks

Perform refrigerant leak check on all joints.
