DIAGNOSTICS AND TROUBLE SHOOTING
A. The motor does not start: make sure that:
There is fuel in the tank (no. 10)
The gas cock, if present, is not closed.
With the engine cold, the gas lever must be on the START position (no. 9).
With the motor hot, the gas lever should not be on the START position (this could flood the motor).
B. The blades, when the lever is engaged, do not rotate:
Check that the belt is not worn
Check that the belt has not come out of the pulley
Make sure that the lever is capable of applying power to the belt
Inspection
Check belt tension
Check belt wear
Replace as necessary.
Check that the machine does not move
forward with the lever in neutral
Check efficiency of the brake
Check for rust and/or cracks
Check that they are in their proper place
and legible
Check that these are secured in their
proper place and in good condition.
Check that there are no leaks and that
they are in good condition. Replace as
necessary.
Check its proper operation
Check that they are securely fastened in
place and in good condition
Replace as necessary.
Check the correct cable tension
Refer to the motor instruction manual.
If these checks are positive but the motor does not start, contact your
local reseller.

Every 10 hours
The gas lever is not in the STOP position.
Fuel reaches the carburettor.
The air filter is not fouled (no. 13).
The vent hole on top of the fuel cap is not clogged with debris
(no. 10).
The spark plug sparks.
