Electromagnetic Environment ‒ Guidance
Portable and mobile radio equipment should be
used no closer to the Variotherm plus, including
cables, than the recommended distance calculated
according to that which applies to the transmission
frequency.
Recommended distances:
d = (3.5 / V1) * √(P)
d = (3.5 / E1) * √(P) 80-800 MHz
d = (7 / E1) * √(P) 0.8-2.5 GHz
where „P" is the max. power in watts (W) and d is the
recommended separation distance in meters (m).
Field strengths from fixed transmitters, as deter-
mined by an electromagnetic site (a) survey, should
be less than the compliance level (b).
Interference may occur in the vicinity of equipment
containing following symbol:
Electromagnetic Environment ‒
Guidance
Mains power quality should be that of a
typical commercial or hospital environment.
If the user of the Variotherm plus requires
continued operation upon the occurrence of
disruptions in the energy supply, the Vario-
therm plus should make use of an uninter-
ruptible power supply or a battery.
