• For using the intelligent function, set [Maintenance] > [Environment] > [Intelligent Function] to [Enable].

Difficult-to-Detect Subjects
The following subjects may not be detected, or may result in erroneous detection.
• Objects or areas where there is little contrast in color or brightness with the background may not be detected.
• Small objects and changes on the screen may not be detected.
• Changes in brightness in all or part of the angle of view may trigger detection.
• When there are multiple overlapping objects, the detection function may be affected.. For example, objects
passing may not be detected or detected at the wrong timing.
• When there are a large number of objects in the screen, it may not be properly detected.

Register Presets in Advance
It is strongly recommended to register the camera angle as a preset in advance and lock the camera to the preset
position when using video detection. It is also recommended to use the angle of view that captures targeted objects
larger.
For information regarding preset register, refer to [Video] > [Presets] (P. 61).

Settings Screen

In video detection, select the type to detect, and set the detection area for video changes while checking images on the
camera. Set which operations (e-mail notification, record video, outputting to an external device, etc.) should be carried out
when changes are detected.

(1) [Restart intelligent function]
If the background image changes during setting of the Intelligent Function, or if the detection result does not match the
settings, restart the Intelligent Function by clicking with the camera control privilege.
Important
• It may take tens of seconds to restart depending on the settings. No detection is performed during this time. For more information
regarding restart settings, refer to [Option Settings] > (2) [Reset Processing] (P. 112).
(2) [Option Settings]
Change the option for the detection settings. For details, refer to "[Option Settings]" (P. 111).
(3) [Detection Settings]
Click [Add] to display [New Detection Settings] and add new detection settings. For details, refer to "Steps for
Configuring Video Detection" (P. 112).
When a detection setting is added, [Number], [Detection Type], [Status] and [Event] appear as a list. Able to add up to
