Precautions for Use

WARNING
• The test probe uses a dangerously high voltage capable of
Ensure the saf ety of test en vir onments.
Insulate the DUT and other high-v oltage areas (see Descr iption *1 on page 8)
with an electr ical insulation r ub ber plate or sheet to pre v ent electr ic shoc k
e v en if the oper ator contacts the DUT or other high-v oltage areas .
If electr ical insulation r ub ber plates or sheets are not a v ailab le , contact y our
Kikusui distr ib utor or agent.
Implement measures so that only author iz ed oper ators can approach high-
v oltage areas .
Ne ver touc h the contact pin. Contact will result in electric shoc k.
High v oltage is deliv ered to the contact pin. Ne v er touch the contact pin.
The DUT is also charged to high test v oltages dur ing testing. Ne v er touch
high-v oltage areas (see Descr iption *1 on page 8.)
Ne v er e xpose the contact pin e xcept when testing.
Ne v er touch the red holder around the contact pin; this area is also capab le of
infl icting electr ic shoc k.
Do not remo ve the contact pin fr om the DUT immediatel y the high v olt
a g e is cut off .
It is hazardous to remo v e the contact pin from the DUT immediately the high
v oltage is cut off . The f orced discharging the DUT becomes impossib le .
Be sure to connect the remote contr ol cab le .
T o pre v ent electr ic shoc k, ne v er perf or m testing using the T ester ST AR T
s witch without the remote control cab le .
Ne ver use the test pr obe with other insulation resistance tester s.
The test probe is designed specifi cally f or use with a KIKUSUI T OS7200 Insu -
lation Resistance T ester . It cannot be used with other insulation resistance
testers , e v en if the connector appears to be compatib le .
Ne ver use the pr oduct at v olta ge s abo ve 1 000 Vdc.
The r ated maxim um v oltage (see Descr iption *2 on page 8) of the probe is
1 000 Vdc. Use at higher v oltages ma y result in electr ic shoc k.
Handle the test pr obe attentivel y . Do not s wing it ar ound.
Do not y ank the test pr obe cab le or drape it o ver an y par t of y our bod y .
