UNPACKING THE MSC-10
13.
Remove the MSC-10 from its shipping box and ensure that all
components are intact. The following items should be included with a new
MSC-10 computer:
a)
MSC-10 computer unit;
b)
MSC-10 Installation and User's Guide;
c)
Configuration document package which includes wiring diagrams
and control settings particular to your setup.

Probes and Modules.
control modules supplied with your configuration (see the wiring diagrams of
the configuration document).

Initial Setup. The MSC-10 computer has top and bottom mounting
holes (see Figure 2-3). Remove the screws ( see Figure 2-4 (1)) securing the
front panel (2) and the screws securing the lower access plate. Install the
MSC-10 computer on a wall or suitable area and secure it with attaching
hardware and perform the following:
a)
Ensure the ribbon cable (3) is properly connected.
b)
Connect the cable wiring of each control module and sensor probe
to the terminal blocks (see Figure 2-5) of the MSC-10. The wiring
connections are shown in the wiring diagram provided with the
configuration document.
Ensure the line voltage switch is correctly set.
c)
Install the front panel (see Figure 2-4 (2)) and the lower access plate
on the enclosure and secure them with their attaching screws.
d)
If upgrading your system to a new configuration, cut out the
faceplate labels (4) and (5) supplied with the configuration
document and install them in the front panel.
