Location of Control Modules.
placed in locations that are easy to reach but away from damaging elements.
Control modules can be placed either near the equipment they control, such as
fans and curtain machines or in a central area close to the MSC-10 module.

Inside Temperature Sensor Probe. The inside temperature sensor
probe should be located in an area which gives the most accurate temperature
reading to achieve optimum ventilation. The probe should also be connected
to the MSC-10 with a shielded two-wire cable (see Figure 2-2). It should be
located in an area where it will be protected from operating machinery, animal
bites, personnel or any circumstance which could damage the sensor.
WIRING TROUBLESHOOTING
1.
If a temperature sensor or its wiring become a short
circuit, the MSC-10 will interpret this as a very high
temperature (HI displayed) and will try to decrease the
temperature by turning on the cooling system.
2. If a temperature sensor or its wiring become an open
circuit, the MSC-10 will interpret this as a very low
temperature (LO displayed) and will try to increase the
temperature by turning on the heating system.

Optional Inside Temperature Sensor Setup. An optional setup
involves the use of four temperature probes wired in a series/parallel circuit
(see Figure 2-2) which provides a single average temperature reading from the
four probes. Refer to the configuration document supplied with the MSC-10
computer and see the wiring diagram of this optional setup.

Outside Temperature Sensor Probe.
probe should be installed in a location which is not influenced by heat
generated from inside the building or direct sunlight. The temperature probe
should also be protected from physical damage.

Static Pressure Sensor.
installed near an outside wall and connected to the MSC-10 by a three-wire
cable. Two small flexible vinyl tubes are connected to the sensor to allow for
the sampling of the inside and outside static pressures. Refer to the Static
Pressure Sensor SPS-1 Manual for installation instructions.
