6 Safety sockets

Unless otherwise specified in the technical data, the following color codes apply to the power supply and
signal connections for components included in Festo Didactic's learning system for automation and
technology.
Color
Meaning
Voltage greater than SELV
e.g. line voltage of 90 to 400 V AC per conductor
(grey)
Neutral conductor
(gray-blue)
Undefined potential,
results during the course of experiments
(white)
Protective conductor
(green-yellow)
Note
The device might not include all of the laboratory safety sockets shown above.
The specified protection class and safe use can only be ensured if laboratory safety cables supplied by Festo
Didactic are used.
The protective grounding terminal is designed as PE+ contact. This connection provides a low-impedance,
safe protective grounding conductor connection. The mechanically incompatible connection prevents a
connection error with a 4 mm laboratory cable.
The operator bears the responsibility for any removal of this adapter. The adapter can be unscrewed with a
1.5 mm socket head screw. The locking mechanism is located in the drill hole of the adapter. Unscrew the
screw in clockwise direction.
