Step 3: Position handlebar stem
Your Flyer™ eBike's handlebar stem is designed to be adjusted for optimal comfort.
A. While holding the front wheel in place, rotate the stem to the rough location depicted
below.
B. Align the line decals on the frame, stem, and fork to ensure that the stem is
assembled straight.
C. While keeping the lines aligned, tighten the top stem bolt to 6 N-m using the 5mm
allen wrench.
D. While keeping the lines aligned, tighten the side stem bolts to 6 N-m using the 5mm
allen wrench. (Warning: it is better to overtighten these bolts if a torque wrench is
unavailable. Loose bolts could result in loss of bike steering.)
E. Rotate the stem up until it is straight.
F. Push the stem latch closed until you hear a click.
WARNING! Failure to properly tighten the stem may result in a loss of steering and could
cause injury or death.
