FITTING THE LOWER INTAKE DUCTS
•
The lower intake ducts have two differ-
ent lengths. The shorter ducts (A) are
placed on the front bank and the longer
ones (B) on the rear bank.

Checking the valve clearance

TESTA ANTERIORE
•
Rimuovere entrambi i corpi farfallati e
le bobine.
•
Rimuovere il coperchio testa anteriore
e le candele.
•
Rimuovere il coperchio insonorizzante
lato frizione.
•
Rimuovere il coperchio frizione.
•
Agendo sul dado di fissaggio dell'ing-
ranaggio primaria ruotare l'albero mo-
tore nel senso di rotazione del motore
(senso di marcia) fino a quando le val-
vole non sono in tensione.
•
Use a feeler gauge to check the clear-
ance between the cam of the shaft and
the relative tappet for both front head
shafts.
Characteristic
Acceptable values with control clearance be-
tween cam and valve
intake: 0.10 - 0.15 mm (0.0039 - 0.0059 in) ex-
haust: 0.20 - 0.25 mm (0.0079 - 0.0098 in)
