STEPPER MOTOR

The Stepper motor (1) is a step-by-step electric
motor used to control a slider (2) that adjusts the
air flow under the throttle. It is commanded by the
electronic control unit that manages idle speed
and engine warming phase; in this phases, the
control unit actuates the slider to reach the optimal
engine speed.
The Stepper motor set to zero coincides with the
slider mechanical stop on the plastic body (3). This
zero position is automatically identified by the con-
trol unit during the first engine operating phases
(closing reset).
