Removing the secondary shaft
•
Slide off the gear of the 1st gear (1) to-
gether with the ball bearing cage.
•
Remove the Seeger ring (2).
•
Slide off the shim washer (3).
•
Slide off the gear of the 4th gear (4).
•
Slide off the bushing (5).
•
Slide off the special washer (6).
•
Remove the Seeger ring (7).
•
Slide off the gear of the 3rd gear (8).
•
Remove the Seeger ring (9).
•
Slide off the flat washer (10).
•
Slide off the gear of the 2nd gear (11).
•
Slide off the bushing (12).
Checking the desmodromic drum
Check the desmodromic drum for damage, scratches and wear and replace the assembly if required.
Checking the forks
NOTE
THE FOLLOWING PROCEDURE IS VALID FOR ALL GEAR FORKS.
Check the gear fork cam bushing (1) and the gear
fork tooth (2) for damage, distortion and wear.
Replace the gear fork if necessary.
