Figure 4-1 Principle for port mirroring

Basic principles for the port mirroring are displayed in Figure 4-1. PC 1 accesses to the
network through port 1 of the RC1201. PC 2 is the monitor PC and is connected to port 2 of
the RC1201.
When needing to monitor packets sent by PC 1, you need to configure port 1 as the mirroring
port and enable the port mirroring for packets on the ingress port. Configure port 2 as the
monitor port, that is, the mirroring destination port.
When forwarding a packet sent by PC 1, the RC1201 mirrors one to port 2. Monitor devices
connected to port 2 receives and analyzes this mirrored packet.
The RC1201 supports the port mirroring based on ingress and egress ports. When the port
mirroring is enabled, packets on ingress/egress mirroring port will be mirrored to the monitor
port.

4.2 NView NNM system

4.2.1 Introduction to functions

"Comprehensive Access, Overall Network Management" is a vision that Raisecom has been
in pursuit of. The NView NNM system is developed to provide overall and efficient OAM
requirements. It is of complete functions, friendly User Interface (UI), and easy operations,
and can meet requirements by service activation and daily maintenance.
The NView NNM system, based on SNMP, can perform integrated configurations and fault
detection over all manageable devices of Raisecom. It has the following functions:
Topology management: displays network topology graphically, organizes and manages
network nodes of various types and links between these nodes, and supports automatical
or manual planning of network functions.
Configuration management: implemented through Network Element (NE) management
module of all devices, provides batch configuration to relieve network maintenance
