3. Clean the top of the hydraulic tank and the suction
strainer cover (1).
4. Loosen the four fasteners (2) securing the suction
strainer cover. Push the cover down against spring
pressure while removing the fasteners. Remove the
cover.
5. Remove the spring (3), rod (4), and 
suction strainer (5).
6. Clean the suction strainer of any contaminants. Inspect
and replace if damaged.
7. Install the suction strainer to the boss (6) of the
hydraulic tank.
NOTE: Use the extrusion on the bottom of the cap to
hold the spring in place.
8. Install a new O-ring for the suction strainer cover.
Tighten the fasteners securely.
9. To purge air from the system, start the engine and run it
at low idle for 10 minutes.
10. Check the hydraulic oil level and add hydraulic oil as
needed. See "Hydraulic Oil Level Check" on page 4-10.
