Table 25: ECx-Light and ECx-Blind Series' Subnet ID Address DIP Switch Settings
The above figure ( Figure 94 ) shows an example of how to set the ECx-Light and ECx-Blind series'
Subnet ID address DIP switch to 1 and how to set the EOL termination to OFF.
Auto-assigned Subnet ID Address for Light and Blind Expansion
Modules
Often only one type of expansion module is connected to the controller; for example, one ECx-Light-4
and one ECx-Blind-4 model. By leaving the Subnet ID address DIP switch at 0 (factory default posi-
tion) for these two expansion modules, the ECx-Light and ECx-Blind room device sets its own Subnet
ID Address according to its model type, so no configuration is necessary.
Expansion Module Model Type
ECx-Light-4 (4 lights 230V)
ECx-Light-4DALI (4 DALI buses)
ECx-Light-4D (4 dimming lights)
ECx-Blind-4 (4 blinds/shades 230V)
ECx-Blind-4LV (4 blinds/shades 24V)
Table 26: ECx-Light and ECx-Blind Series' Automatic Subnet ID Address when the DIP Switch is set to 0
If you connect a second expansion module of the same type to the controller's subnetwork data bus,
you must set at least one of the two expansion modules' MAC DIP switches to a unique (that is, un-
used) subnet ID (MAC) address and then set the same value in Default address in EC- gfx Program.
See "Manage Light and Sunblind Module Instances" in the EC- gfx Program User Guide.

Auto Learn Light and Blind/Shade Expansion Modules in EC-gfxProgram
In EC- gfx Program, when the connection status for the controller is Connected, this scans the con-
troller's subnetwork data bus for connected expansion modules, when each expansion module has a
unique subnet ID (MAC) address on the controller's subnetwork data bus. Using this feature will delete
any previously configured expansion modules. See "Manage Light and Sunblind Module Instances" in
the EC- gfx Program User Guide.
