Electromotive Valve Actuator For Use with 2-1/2-Inch to 6-Inch Pressure
Independent Control Valves
Figure 1:
VA-247P Series electromotive valve actuator.
Product Description
This document describes the hardware installation procedures for the
following VA-247P Series zone valve actuators:
PICV
VA-247PSO024M
Normally-Open, 24V, Floating (3-Position) and
Proportional 0-10V or 4-20mA
PICV
VA-247PSC024M
Normally-Closed, 24V, Floating (3-Position)
and Proportional 0-10V or 4-20mA
The VA-247P Series spring return (fail-safe) actuator requires a 24 volt
power supply and a 0 to 10 Vdc, 4-20mA or floating control signal to
control the Pressure Independent Control series valve with 3/4-inch to 1-
1/2-inch (20 to 40 mm) stroke.
General Installation Requirements
For proper installation and subsequent operation of each actuator, pay
special attention to the following recommendations:
-
Upon unpacking the product, inspect the contents of the carton for
shipping damages. Do not install damaged actuators.
-
Avoid areas where corroding, deteriorating or explosive vapors,
fumes or gases may be present.
-
Ensure that all equipment is installed according to local, regional,
and national regulations.
