8.5 Disassembly of the Control Panel

The control panel is made up of a display module and function and temperature encoders.
There are differences between double and single models, so ensure you order the correct parts from
the correct parts book for the model you are servicing.
Function encoder
Encoder Removal
1. Pull the knobs off the Function and Temperature encoders
2. Remove the control panel assembly from the oven. See Section 8.4 on pg. 51.
3. Unscrew the light pipes from the encoders. Use long-nose pliers on the tabs or gently grip the
inner ring to get a better grip if required.
4. Turn the control panel assembly over
5. Locate the encoder to be removed. Push in
on the tabs that snap into the bracket.
6. Lift the encoder free of the bracket
7. Disconnect the harnesses and remove the
encoder
