To remove, bend the retaining clip slightly to the left and remove the filter.
If you want to operate the light source without a filter for a short time, pull the
slider out only to the first detent point. In this position, the filter is still in the
light source, but no longer in the beam path.
Your KL 2500 LED has a USB interface and can be controlled via a computer,
by using the enclosed USB connection cable. All information such as port
settings, formats, control commands and error codes required for integrating
the KL 2500 LED into individual control software is described in a separate
information sheet.
In addition, SCHOTT offers software for demonstration purposes. The overview
of the protocol commands and the demo software can be downloaded from the
SCHOTT website https://schott.com/products/kl-fiber-optic-light-sources
download.
First, install the appropriate driver so that the KL 2500 LED can communicate
with your computer. To do this, connect the light source to your computer using
the enclosed USB connection cable and switch on the light source. The opera
ting system will prompt you to install the new USB device. Follow the prompts of
your operating system.
The illumination of the KL 2500 LED can be switched on and off using an
optionally available foot switch. To do this, connect the foot switch to the
corresponding connection socket on the back of the light source.
If the lighting is switched off by means of the foot switch, this is indicated on
the display "SHUTTER". In addition, the light intensity control is locked. Press
the foot switch again to unlock the light intensity control and set the original
brightness.
