The KL 2500 LED cold light source is intended for use in industrial and laboratory
settings
. Cold light sources are used to illuminate objects in stereomicroscopy.

The visible and intense light from the cold light source is guided to the object via
light guides. Only SCHOTT light guides and SCHOTT accessories ensure proper
function, safety and optimum light output.
Please read and follow these instructions carefully. Ensure that every operator of
the device has quick access to these operating instructions.
The instrument's safety cannot be guaranteed if the instructions are not followed.
The manufacturer is not liable for any damage caused by non-observance of these
operating instructions.
Operate the light source only in dry conditions and not in hazardous areas.
When connecting the device, ensure a safe connection.
Operate the cold light source only with the voltage specified on the infor-
mation label.
Never look directly into the light emission from the light source or the light
guide during operation (risk of eye injuries)! The KL 2500 LED emits visible
light of high intensity (according to the EN 62471:2008 standard, risk class 2).
Never cover the open light guide receptacle or the light guide output
(fire hazard)!
Never cover the open light guide receptacle or the light guide outlet with
your hand or other parts of your body (risk of burns)!
