AINTENANCE
Frequently inspect the area under the float switches
to ensure they are free from debris and gummy bilge
oil. To clean, soak in heavy duty bilge cleaner for
10 minutes, agitating several times. Check for
unrestricted operation of the float. Repeat the
cleaning procedure if necessary. Inspect the bilge
pump intakes and keep them free of dirt or material
which may impede the flow of water through the
pump. To clean the pump strainer, depress the lock
tabs on both sides of the pump and lift the pump
motor.

ROUBLESHOOTING
If water does not come out of discharge hose:
1. Depress the breaker on the main DC
breaker panel located on the port
component board in the bilge (see Fig. 6.3.1)
to ensure it has not tripped.
2. Remove the motor module to see if the
impeller rotates with the power on.
3. Remove any debris that may have
accumulated in the nozzle section or strainer
base.
4. Check hose and connection on hull side for
debris and proper connections.

The two bilge blowers remove odors and
excessive heat from the engine compartment and
provide ventilation through the hull vents. The
blowers are wired through individual circuit
breakers on the main DC breaker panel (see Fig.
6.3.1) with a switch on the control station switch
panel (see Fig. 2.12.1) and on the DC distribution
panel located in the salon (see Fig. 6.12.1).
Blower switches can be turned ON at one location
and turned OFF at the other location.

EXPLOSION/FIRE HAZARD – Run blower at least
four (4) minutes before starting engine or generator.
Check bilge and engine compartment for fumes.

Do not allow obstructions to interfere with bilge blower
or ventilation intake operation. Engine performance
may be adversely affected.

IGHT
Light On: When a blower is turned ON, the light
in the switch will come on and stay on, indicating
that there is power to the blower.
Light Blinking: If the light is blinking, it is an
indication that the blower breaker has tripped.
Correct the problem and reset the breaker.
Light Not On: If you try to turn ON the blower
and no light comes on, then both breakers are
tripped and the blowers are not receiving power.
Correct the problem and reset the breaker. Blower
switch lights do not indicate that the blower motors
