The 290 SLX is equipped with electric bilge
blowers to remove fumes from the engine
compartment and provide ventilation
through the deck vents before starting the
engine and when operating below cruising speeds. The
bilge blowers are located in the engine compartment
on the port and starboard sides of the transom.
Bilge blower switches are located on the helm switch

panel and the cabin DC distribution panel. Bilge blower
breakers are located on the main DC breaker panel in
the engine compartment.
The blower switches have a two way switching capa-
bility. The blower module allows the blowers to be turned
ON and OFF at either the control station or the cabin
DC distribution panel. Also, they can be turned ON at
one station and turned OFF at the other.
