Trouble or fault
The power tool
doesn't run.
The control switch
can't be pressed, i.e.
the switch is locked.
The battery runs
down more quickly
than usual.
The battery doesn't
engage with an audi-
ble click.
The power tool or
the battery becomes
very warm.

Possible cause
The battery is not fully
inserted.
Low battery.
The forward/reverse
selector switch is in the
middle position.
Very low ambient tem-
perature.
The retaining lugs on the
battery are dirty.
Electrical fault.
The tool is overloaded
(application limits ex-
ceeded).
Service.
Action to be taken
▶ Push the battery in
until it engages with
an audible click.
▶ Charge the battery.
▶ Push the
forward/reverse
switch to the left or
right.
▶ Allow the battery to
warm up slowly to
room temperature.
▶ Clean the retaining lug
and push the battery
in until it engages.
Contact Hilti Service if
the problem persists.
▶ Switch the power
tool off immediately,
remove the battery,
keep it under obser-
vation, allow it to cool
down and contact
Hilti Service.
▶ Select a suitable
power tool for the
application.
