Make sure the cutter unit fits securely into the half
cut holes on the left and right.

3 . Cutter Unit
Required jigs and tools: Electric screwdriver (Driver bit 2)
(1) Turn off the printer and unplug it from the electri-
cal outlet.
(2) Remove the cutter cover to the procedure described in
item 1.
(3) Remove the board cover unit to the procedure de-
scribed in item 2.
(4) Removal
• Connector 1
• Two screws 2
[ Tightening torque : 0.8±0.2 N . m]

• Cutter Unit 3

[ Caution in assembly ]
(1) Securely mount the spring on the position shown
in the figure below.
Note: The spring diameter varies depending on the
direction.Make sure the end with the small
diameter (φ 5.2) is securely attached to the
burring on the cutter unit.
(2) Check the head unit boss and the spring
mounting position.
(3) Align with the half cut holes on the frame (two
points) and install.
(4) After installing, use a pair of tweezers to check
that the springs are steady and installed in the
correct positions
Note1: The cutter unit and the stationary knife
must always be replace at the same time.
The stationary knife is included with the
cutter unit S-P.
For the installation position of the sta-
tionary knife , refer to the item 11.
Note2: Lubricate the cutter unit after re-place-
ment. (Refer to item2 of chapter 2.)
